 The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced downtown parking meters will not be enforced (and need not be paid) on MONDAY MAY 29, 2017 in honor of MEMORIAL DAY.

Parking in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.) is enforceable 24 hours / 7 days a week.

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced downtown parking meters will not be enforced (and need not be paid) on Friday April 14, 2017 in honor of Good Friday Holiday. 

 Parking in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.) is enforceable 24 hours / 7 days a week.

FREE METER PARKING ANNOUNCED FOR HOLIDAYS 

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced downtown parking meters will not be enforced (and therefore need not be paid) on Thanksgiving Day (November 24, 2016) the Friday following (November 25, 2016) and Saturday (November 26, 2016).

 ****Bus Passes will not be available from the Parking Authority on the affected days**** Parking in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.) is enforceable 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Green Commuter Electric Vehicles for Rent

Chattanooga residents and visitors can rent electric vehicles by the hour or day through a new car sharing system, Green Commuter.

 "Green Commuter is thrilled to bring its services to Chattanooga on Thursday," CEO and founder Gustavo Occhiuzzo said in a prepared statement. "We are confident that this forward-thinking community will embrace all-electric car sharing, and we are pleased to present this low-cost mobility option to the region."

Free Meter Parking on Labor Day

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced downtown parking meters will not be enforced (and need not be paid) on Monday, September 5, 2016 in honor of the Labor Day Holiday. 

Parking in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.) is enforceable 24 hours / 7 days a week. 

Additionally, Bus Passes will not be available at the Chattanooga Parking Authority office during this time.

2016-17 Fort Wood Resident Parking Application

The new Fort Wood Historic District Application for Restricted On Street Parking is now available.

Permits are issued to residents in the 800 and 900 blocks of Clark, Oak, Vine and Fort Wood Streets and the 500 block of Fort Wood Place ONLY.  

*IF YOUR CAR IS NOT REGISTERED AT THE FORT WOOD ADDRESS, YOU MUST SHOW A COPY OF YOUR LEASE AGREEMENT OR A PIECE OF MAIL DISPLAYING IT*

Both Residences and Businesses will be allowed a MAXIMUM of 3 permits per address.

Residences refers to both single family and multiple occupancy units.

NOTE: Fort Wood Sticker must be placed on left rear bumper.
